Today i got a page done for a comicbook i was gonna do for class. It was gonna be a comic but becuase uts due today im just gonna make it a written as a story and then draw it later for fun

watchmen get tournament play

so two weeks ago i played in pasadena for whatever month we are on for the infinty gauntlet.  this was basically my best tournament ever i was 2-1 only lost 1 game and won the only elder of the universe that i wanted The Runner. now lets talk about how i was able to win!

so the format was actually a challenge to build for. it was a 400 pt proper keyword team and had a minimuim of four characters for the team, modern age. i must have made dozens of possible teams ranging from nova corp, winter guard to teen titians and finally in the end i decieded on a team that i hadnt played for a while that i have been dieing to play, the watchmen. and when i say watchemen i mean the fast forces not the collectores box set ( which i want).


the team was

dr. manhattan-150
Rorschach- 75
silk spectre- 75
Nite Owl- 75
infinity gauntlet-25 gems: soul,power,time

thinking back this wasnt the wisest choice because i knew that people would be bringing their A games and i would be with a  team of street level heroes and the doctor. the fact that many of my people had trouble getting through invulnerablity made thigs way harder then it should have.

i had the gauntlet on manhattan  and was facing an x-men team which included

warpath 70
beast 95
wolverine 103
cyclops 110
infinity gauntlet ?

and for time im skipping to the good stuff.
-i tried to stay away from wolverine as soon as possible and made a B-line towards cyclops and warpath who where together

-when i got dr manhattan close enough cyclops view i was in hindering so i had a 19 dv with impervious and prob, i rolled the gauntlet and got stealth right after. lol

- pushed to attack cyclops with the power gem, 6 damage

- nite owl and Rorschach teamed up to keep wolverine busy until dr manhatten was able to shoot him with the power gem.

- silk spectre perplexed up her damage to 3 and used flurry on warpath. warpath landed on close combat expert, luckly he missed. next turn i pushed silk spectre and K.Oed warpath.

its been so long i forgot everything else but i still i can give you advice for playing this team
- Rorschach will most likely be an mvp in your games, it just happens
- silk spectre can do damage when near her lovers
- not a good team if your fighting a lot of people with invulnerability and impervious.

heroclix: most broken tournament game

so i went to a tournament for the infinity gauntlet a week ago. it was a 700 point build team and i at the last minute made a avengers team. it was a pretty formidable team, i had nova, hawkeye, captain marvel, iron man, hulk, amadous cho. it was made to smash stuff. first opponent i fought had a 600pt Galactus ,amadous cho and an astral dr.strange. I've taken on the old galactus pretty easily so i was confident but then he told me about the rest of his force. first off he gave the infinity gauntlet to galactus and then he informed me of galactus'special herald power. the trait lets galactus bring a character outside of his force or from my team of 150pt or less and make it galactus herald. the herald gets power cosmic and gets a plus 1 to all its stats. so in a sense he was able to play a 850pt team in a 700 pt tournament.
the herald he choose was 150pt superman. i didn't even touch that superman who was just hypersonicing around picking up objects and smashing my team. i pushed to running shot bot iron-man and nova they both missed and were taken off later. i got one hit to galactus thanks to hawkeye but then that gave galactus a revenge token which gives his herald a free action to do whatever. and that's how hulk died in one hit.
the only character i was able to KO was astral dr.strange.
i had too grit my teeth and shack that guys hand, it sucked.
and i was not the only one from my group of Friends who fought that guy. they all lost. but one of my friends which will not be named in this blog because i don't think he would aprpreciate that told that guy to his face that he was running a 800pt team in a 700 pt tournament and he shouldn't be so happy about his victory. I'm paraphrasing so it doesn't sound as cool as how he said it.
that galactus is not built for tournament play like that and that night proved why. even the dormammu has a herald thing but the character has to be part of your force. if the herald power at that low of points it should have been like dormommu's it would have fixed the broken aspects of the galactus.

this thing is going to ruin my life with how fun it is. I stayed up playing fallout 3 now I'm dead in class

its my birthday(i'm 20)

so its weird im twenty now and i don't know what to think. except cool.

well what else can i say im older. everyone expected me to be have a huge celebration but i just drove home and sleeped for 5 hours. dude's and dudette's out there who are in college most know how tiring it can be. i go everyday except sunday and so my gift to myself is a good rest. now im up and about drawing and animating and writing a small sized script. also cleaning my room because my room is also the houses storage.

and the above video is by yotam parel and though a bit of a bummer i love it. and today i got the chance to think a lot and i'm loving how things are going for me right now and want to share more things here on the internet so watch out

broken (heart) cd :( tullycraft rocks

im joking with that title my heart is in good shape but not my new cd. yes i got this cd in the mail on friday today is tuesday, fuck. i got the music on itunes a few hours a go so i can make a copy but its sad that the original got broken. i hate my stupid clumsy feet! so many of my things have been killed by either lefty or righty.

i really liked this cd and then boom its gone. the bands like a garage indie band with pop twist. i loved the popness of it anyways heres a couple of songs of theirs i also recommend superboy and supergirl another awesome song
