really, greg land ?

i was reading all the original sin tie in books and when i was reading mighty avengers 10 i noticed this little nod to the "what if" comic series. I also noticed that all these, once again Greg land just traced these various "what if" covers. and this is so exact that he didn't even bother to make a new rock monster next to the Jane foster he just moved one that was lower on her page, or change pym's head to be more proportional. it could be argued that he was saving time but it just seems a bit disingenuous, i know it shouldn't surprise me that he would do something like this but it is.

 so here is the spider-gwen done. just did a few changes and erased the pencil lines. hopefully ill be able to sell this , also i want to make prints of this is the future.

sketchbook figure stuff from today

so today i was going through my current sketchbook and doing some character stuff and figure stuff and marker stuff. i'm trying to get some design's on paper for characters that i've been thinking about. hopefully i'll use my character eventually. and soon i'll get illustrater and photoshop to do some digital work.also now i'll be uploading more sketchbook stuff because i don't think it is as bad as past work.

Bat as Letterform, classwork

for this project I had to make an animal out of the letters of its name while using an appropiriate font. so this is a bat in snell roundhouse. i made this in like 2 hours in Typography class today. i had done another one last class but i really hated it so i re did it as a different font that worked better. second project in this class and i like how it came out,. ill make sure to update with more class projects

music tuesday: mc chris- cookie breath

you may recognize mc chris's voice from adult swim shows like sealab 2021 and aqua teen hunger force. if you didn't know he is also a rapper under the name mc chris. and though he denies it i catagorize him as nerdcore, though i geuss he does that to try to be perfesonal or something. anyways today for music tuesday i picked an older song of his from 2003 cookie breath. the song has a simple catchy beat with lyrics talking about unrequited love, nothing to amazing but great junkfood music. this is a good jumping off point if you haven't heard his music. other song of his that i would suggest are nerd girl and hoodie ninja, there'e basically the greatest hits but you gotta start somewhere.

groot: the end

this isn't really groot's end but a possible future. he is on top of Franklin Richards spaceship, time thing. i guess they are buddies in the future. a good end to old tree man who definitely needs some rest after guarding the galaxy for so long.
